Beth El Temple is excited to welcome Meg Shoeman as our new Jewish Outreach Coordinator.
Meg has already been on the job for several months, and she has made her impact felt both at the synagogue and in the larger community.
The Jewish Outreach Coordinator is a new role at Beth El Temple. Its purpose is to deepen our existing members’ engagement with the synagogue, welcome new members, and connect with and represent Beth El in the larger Jewish and Central Pennsylvania communities. Meg’s responsibilities include being a friendly point of contact for people who are visiting our synagogue, meeting with current members to help them reach their goals, assisting the Rabbi with outreach to members experiencing illness or loss, representing the synagogue at communal events, and helping with religious duties.
In addition to her role at Beth El, Meg also works as a healthcare chaplain, and in her free time she enjoys learning stories, singing, spending time with friends, and walking along the river with her dogs. You can read more about Meg on our team page and also contact her from there — she would love to speak with you about your Beth El Temple journey!
Beth El Temple would like to thank the generous donors who helped make this new role at the synagogue possible.
